Help > Your Listing > Why is my site listed only in a regional category?

When reviewing a site, our editors try to establish whether or not the site is regionally relevant. For instance, if the site provides information about a specific region and/or directly affects or influences the daily life, work, or community participation of a person, organization, or business within that specific geographic area, it is considered regionally relevant.

Many, but not all, sites are placed in regional categories as well as in a similar or corresponding category in the main, non-regionalized My Rajasthan Directory. Some sites are placed only regionally if they are determined to be solely applicable to a particular geographic area. For example, a person in Jaipur looking for a hotels most likely wants information on local businesses and not businesses out of the area. Therefore, the site will be listed in Jaipur only, under hotels.

If you search for your site and only see a listing in a regional category, it is still possible that the site is linked to additional categories in the My Rajasthan Directory. Try browsing through some of the categories in the main Directory where you think your site might be listed. If it is in the main Directory, it would be included in the alphabetical list of sites in the category.

If you would like to suggest a change to your listing, please do so through our online change form.
